Hon. Norman W. Gordon, Ret.
| Following his retirement from the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 1997 after 14 years, Judge Gordon has been active in the private sector as a Mediator, Arbitrator and Private Judge. Prior to his bench appointment in 1983, he settled all types of disputes as an Arbitrator for the Court and for the American Arbitration Association. As an Arbitrator, Judge Gordon is known to be worldly and highly intelligent, and he is respected for his sharp, insightful understanding of business options. He knows how to weed out all the trivialities and, as one client commented, "He seems to quickly grasp the issues and asks the right questions." As a Mediator, Judge Gordon works diligently until resolution is achieved, is very adept at communicating each party's perspectives to the others, and uses his experience to resolve disputes with creative solutions. Noted one attorney, "You can tell how badly he wants to resolve matters...he works at it really hard." |
