After 30 years as a civil trial lawyer in cases involving professional liability, general liability, insurance litigation and other significant tort claims and years as a claims representative, Mr. Handweiler has made the transition from trial attorney to full time mediator/arbitrator. In addition to years of service as a Pro-Tem for the Orange County Superior Court and Mediator on the Los Angeles County Superior Court panel, Mr. Handweiler has received mediation training at the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution and has effectively and successfully mediated and arbitrated hundreds of matters, in almost every type of injury dispute. One litigator, who was impressed with Mr. Handweiler as a mediator, used him again as an arbitrator and said “I was equally as impressed as his decision was sound, concise and addressed all the relevant issues raised by the parties. Both sides' clients were very impressed with how he handled it and the result was fair."
