Steven Kruis, Esq. has been a full time neutral since 2001. He specializes in mediating disputes involving real property, employment, personal injury, business/commercial, probate/trust and professional liability matters. He began mediating disputes in 1993, while a partner with Higgs, Fletcher & Mack LLP, San Diego’s third oldest and one of its largest law firms. He was with the firm for over 13 years, and served as the Firm’s Managing Partner between 1994 and 1997. As a litigator, Mr. Kruis has handled a wide variety of cases and enjoys an A.V. rating from Martindale Hubbell. His personal injury practice ranged from winning a seven-figure jury verdict on behalf of a plaintiff whom suffered an organic brain injury in an automobile accident to defending a complex, seven-figure claim by plaintiffs who were allegedly exposed to debilitating doses of toxic substances. He represented Fortune 500 Corporations in ERISA and employment-related matters. His broad subject matter expertise and passionate commitment to helping the parties reach satisfactory settlement have earned him the genuine, widespread respect of counsel and their clients.
