Michael D. Moorhead, Esq.
| With almost 40 years of experience in the resolution and litigation of a wide diversity of legal matters, Michael Moorhead devotes his practice to Mediation. Among the myriad cases he has settled or tried, many have had results well into the multi-million dollar range. They have ranged from two-party disputes to complex multi-party and multi-jurisdictional actions in a broad spectrum of fields, many involving catastrophic injuries and complex legal issues. The Daily Journal has selected Mr. Moorhead as among California’s Top Neutrals every year since 2002. As a trial attorney, advocates described him as even-tempered, patient and courteous, traits he brings to the mediation session, where his reputation is also said to be tenacious and effective. As he puts it, “I firmly believe that the trial of an action is the least effective, most expensive and most emotionally draining method of resolving a dispute. Utilizing ADR has allowed me to become part of the solution, not part of the problem.” One defense lawyer commented, “I was hesitant to agree to him because of his plaintiffs background, but after he settled the case, I knew he was a first-rate neutral, totally impartial, and someone I would continue to utilize.” |
