OUR NEUTRALS

David W. Rudy, Esq.
Dave Rudy has been a full-time neutral since 1991 and prior to that was a practicing attorney where he brought approximately 20 jury and court trials to judgment, including one 13-month jury trial. His litigation practice was general civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance, construction and tort. During his twenty years of mediation practice and after several thousand mediations, Dave has earned tremendous respect from his colleagues and clients. One of the pioneers of the “lawyer turned mediator” movement in San Francisco, Dave began full time with Bates Edwards Group in 1991, which was later merged into JAMS. He determined early in his dispute resolution career to specialize in the art of mediation resolution rather than particular subject-matters which has enabled him to achieve a wide diversity with significant mediation experience in construction defect, product liability, insurance disputes, catastrophic injury, class actions, medical and legal malpractice, real estate, and employment. He continues to be active in mediator training and is a frequent presenter on the subject. Clients comment he is a “quick study” and has the ability to comprehend and master complex legal and factual issues quickly. Clients also state they recommend Dave for matters with difficult emotional management issues as clients consistently comment on his empathetic listening skills and unwavering patience. One attorney said "Dave did a superb job and lived up to his reputation”.
