Pat has served the legal community for over 40 years as both a plaintiff and defense attorney, having had approximately 100 jury trials and appellate matters heard. During the last twenty years while serving as a volunteer on behalf of both the Los Angeles and Orange County Superior Courts as well as privately through Judicate West he has conducted over 600 mediations. Through his participation in numerous bar groups, Pat has developed a strong working relationship with leaders
and members of both the plaintiff and defense bars which, along with managing several law firms, helped him
develop strong people and leadership skills that serve him well as he leads parties toward resolution. One attorney commented, "Pat was extremely thorough. He was well prepared and knew the issues from both sides when we got to mediation. We gave him confidential and sensitive information and with our permission he knew exactly how to present it in a way that led to settlement even though the parties were at two opposite ends of the spectrum when we started. He is thorough, honest and fair. I will definitely use him again." Pat's experience extends from simple personal injury matters to complex business matters, construction claims, product and professional liability, insurance coverage and aviation law. Pat holds both a pilot's license and a motorcycle license and often mediates cases involving such issues. He is also sought after as an arbitrator having earned a great reputation for being honest and a straight shooter.
We brought Pat a very difficult, high-exposure, medical malpractice case that contained several very
sensitive issues. Pat was able to quickly hone in on the key facts, and identify the issues which he
could use to motivate each of the three parties to compromise their respective positions and
arrive at a very fair and realistic settlement.

We could not have accomplished as much as we did without Pat's assistance. He is a fantastic mediator and very skilled.
I will highly recommend him and keep him in consideration for future mediation services.
