Raymond Duer serves as legal counsel to Judicate West and leads firm initiatives across departments. Ray also provides legal research and writing support to Judicate West's neutrals on a wide array of California and federal matters. He additionally directs JWU programs including neutral and client outreach through MCLE events and conferences. Ray previously served as a law clerk at the California Court of Appeal and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and has also worked as a litigation associate at leading firms in San Francisco and San Diego. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and his B.A. in History from Harvard College.

Outside of the office, Ray enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying up to date on the latest research in North American history, and continuing to advance as an amateur woodworker.
