Judge Carringer draws upon 40 years of combined legal experience as a trial lawyer, mediator, insurance counsel, and judge in her role as a full-time neutral. She is widely recognized for her ability to guide parties toward resolution with patience, attentive listening, persistence, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring all litigants and attorneys are heard and treated with respect. She believes that connecting with people is a powerful tool in building trust and creating the path to resolution.

Appointed to the Solano County Superior Court bench in 2013, Judge Carringer presided over a broad range of complex matters, including employment, family law, insurance, medical malpractice, and personal injury cases during her 12-year judicial tenure. She held leadership roles as Supervising Judge of both the Civil and Family Law divisions and twice served on the court’s Appellate Division. Before her judicial service, she spent more than two decades in private litigation practice and as field counsel for an insurance company. A dedicated bar leader and community contributor, Judge Carringer brings her extensive experience, approachable style, and steadfast belief in efficient, collaborative dispute resolution to every case she handles.

Judge Carringer likes gardening, cooking, reading, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was an avid skier and skydiver, and was a member of an all-women professional skydiving demonstration team. She also loves college football.
