Melody received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Chapman University. An avid traveler, she studied abroad at Oxford University and for a year following graduation, taught English overseas. Upon her return to Los Angeles, she worked in public relations and entertainment management for many years. Notably, Melody collaborated with the Public Affairs Department at John Wayne Airport, Orange County for the inauguration of Terminal C, and received an Award of Excellence for her efforts.
